Roller Skates Keys

Have you ever skate with skates that you had to put on with a key?
I remember they were always falling off. We had around key on our necks, we would not lose it. I almost killed myself on those skates. But sure had fun. What about you?
You bet I did! Had these metal roller skates strapped to my saddle shoes! And my skate key on a shoelace around my neck …. Still got the key but skates are long gone. Thanx for the memories!

Shin pads are in skates (behind the skate Tong) or above it?
I wonder what is the best way to put the shin pads in hockey. I tried both ways. It looks like if you tackle them in skates you can develop the kind of lace bite from shin pad, but you get better ankle support. Your opinion please? Thanks!
I fold the tongue forward and place the tibia pad on top, then tape shin pad for my leg. I thought it was more comfortable, I avoided the lace bite, and my skates had the right support. It is personal preference, so try them all, good luck!

Hockey Skates Water

Your favorite quote about hockey and favorite quote from a Pro hockey player (past or present)?
Hockey is fluid. It is like water in a bottle: Tip the bottle and everything is moving. You are able to touch the puck every time you get on the ice when the puck sliding across the ice and you can skate where you want. The flow is constant, spontaneous, creative. The action is altomfattende.-Travis Roy Forget about style; worry about resultaterne.-Bobby Orr
